The utilisation of cameras installed on UAV with the help of targets on the ground and specific softwares allow to execute georeferenced and measurable surveys with extreme precision.
Aerial photogrammetry has its main applications in geomatics, allowing the creation and management of clouds of three-dimensional points with an extreme speed. Integrating the three-dimensional land models with geographical database and GIS we can deal with problems related to environmental planning and seismic or hydrogeological risk assessment.
The main photogrammetry applications are:
- DTM, DEM, DSM with soil ortophoto;
- ortophoto of buildings, monuments, archaeological sites;
- contour levels of 3D models;
- data integration with terrestrial laser scanner for the roof of the buildings.
